CHeriDDOC

Cultural Heritage Digital Documentation

What does CHeriDDOC aim to achieve?

The project aims to modernize heritage education by integrating digital documentation technologies into existing curricula and by developing a dedicated digital learning platform to support open, accessible, and practice-oriented training. Objectives include developing a digital heritage curriculum, enhancing digital skills, promoting international collaboration, bridging academia and industry, ensuring inclusive learning, and advancing research. Through the learning platform, the project will provide students, educators, and professionals with structured educational resources, training materials, and tools to acquire cutting-edge expertise in digital documentation and sustainable cultural heritage preservation.

What activities is CHeriDDOC going to implement?

The project will implement curriculum development, hands-on training, international collaboration, and the design and implementation of a digital learning platform. Key activities include reviewing existing courses, developing a model curriculum, organizing three international workshops, field training, and interdisciplinary student exchanges. The platform will host online learning modules, training materials, digital resources, and shared educational content, supporting internships, mobility programs, and research collaborations while enhancing digital documentation skills and industry-academic cooperation in line with EU directives.

What project results and other outcomes is CHeriDDOC expected to have?

The project will produce a digital heritage curriculum, training materials, and a dedicated open-access learning platform hosting online modules, educational resources, and digital documentation tools. It will result in skilled students and educators, strengthened international collaborations, and industry-academic partnerships. Expected outcomes include field training, research publications, mobility programs, policy recommendations, and the long-term use of the learning platform as a shared educational environment for heritage documentation and conservation. The project will foster digital transformation, employability, and sustained impact on cultural heritage education and preservation.
